About Us
Limburger Urkunden Foundation
The Limburger Urkunden Foundation has two main objectives
- To promote knowledge of the cultural history of the modern Dutch province of Limburg and to strengthen its cultural identity and that of its regions.
- The development and promotion of connections between Limburg’s cultural heritage, its landscape, tourism, and recreational activities among the general public.

Current Activities
- Cataloging of the 450 Limburg documents (verification of authenticity, reading, translation, textual analysis, and commentary in modern language).
- A step-by-step development of a website where, in about five years, all documents from Limburg will be available, accompanied by clear explanations of their content and potential connections within a broader context.
- Publication of scholarly document collections, organization of exhibitions, installation of QR code signs, and dissemination through other analog and digital media to raise public awareness.
- Contribution to educational programs of all kinds, at all levels, and for all age groups.
