Brief summary
Abbess Guda (of Rennenberg) and the convent of Thorn abbey give to Jan van Baexem, priest of Thorn, rye and oats annually for as long as he lives. Jan promises at the risk of losing this gift to approve a papal or other confirmation in favor of abbess and convent concerning the levying of two-thirds of the noval tithes in the churches of which they have the right of patronage. If a charter must be drawn up for this purpose, he will seal it with his own seal.

Universis presentes litteras inspecturis Guda, divina miseratione abbatissa, totusque conventus monasterii Thorensis salutem et cognoscere veritatem.
Noveritis universi quod nos dilecti nostri domini Iohannis de Baxen, investiti ecclesie Thorensis, et suorum affectum quem circa nostrum habent monasterium attendentes, ipsi Iohanni donamus et annuatim in festo beati Martini promittimus solvere decem maldra siliginis et decem avene, mensure que in districtu dominii de Horne communius observatur, percipienda ab eodem Iohanne quamdiu vixerit et non ultra. Ego autem investitus predictus sub periculo et amissione dictorum viginti maldrorum promitto quantum in me est, si dicte abbatissa et conventus super percepcione decimarum novalium pro duabus partibus in ecclesiis quarum sunt patrone, possint a domino papa vel alias confirmacionem vel indulgentiam aliquam optinere, ego illi confirmacioni seu indulgencie meum consensum et promocionem, si quam potero, adhibebo et litteras, si que super optinenda et procuranda dicta confirmacione seu indulgentia conficientur, sigillo meo proprio debeo sigillare.

Guda, abdis, en het convent van de abdij van Thorn maken bekend dat zij Jan van Baexem, pastoor van Thorn, tien malder rogge en tien malder haver geven in de maat die in het gebied van de heerlijkheid van Horn gebruikelijk is en beloven die jaarlijks op 11 november te leveren zolang hij leeft. Jan belooft, voor zover dat aan hem is, op gevaar van verlies van de genoemde twintig malder dat, indien abdis en convent over de heffing van de novale tienden voor de twee derden in de kerken waarvan zij de patroon zijn van de paus of anders een bevestiging of vergunning zouden krijgen, dat hij daar dan, als dat al in zijn macht ligt, zijn instemming en steun aan zal geven.
