Adolf, abbot of St. Michael's Abbey at Siegburg, has allowed Herman Scotto, monk there, to acquire and use for himself the inheritances that will fall to him upon the death of his sister-in-law Geertrui van Siecht, beguine at Maastricht.

Nos Adolphus, Dei gratia abbas Sibergensis, scire volumus universis presententia visuros vel audituros nos Hermannum dictum Scottonem, monachum nostrum, licentiasse ad requirenda, habenda et possidenda et in usus suos convertenda bona hereditaria que sibi cedunt seu cedere poterunt aut possunt ex obitu Gertrudis de Siecht, beghine Traiectensis, quondam uxoris fratris sui Gerardi bone memorie, que vero bona hereditaria dicti Gerardi dum viveret fuisse dinoscuntur.
In cuius licentie date evidentiam presentia nostro sigillo duximus communiri.
